Ralph Steadman is not only a prolific artist, sculpturor and writer, but he has also written and composed music. Several of his songs are inspired by his work on I Leonardo, his illustrated biography of one of his hero's,Leonardo da Vinci. At one point he even had the idea to turn it into a full length musical theatre show. There are many notebooks filled with ideas, and script notes attesting to that fact.

There is also a piece, Weird and Twisted Nights, featuring the voice of Hunter S. Thompson and a song about one of the sheep who used to roam his Kent estate, Zeno.
